Elk Ridge Mining and Reclamation, LLC. is a subsidiary of Denver-based Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association. The organization was formed in 1992 to coordinate mining operations for Tri-State at the newly-developed New Horizon Mine near Nucla, Colo.
